My name is Daniel Chan.

This is my blog that will discuss things related to narcissistic abuse, toxic relationships, and trauma.

But more importantly, it will be discussing how to overcome these things.

Things like post-traumatic growth, healing, and breaking past your perceived self-limitations.

I’m sharing what I’ve learned over the years, and like most people, I am still a major work in progress.

But I’ve made some breakthroughs over the years.

Sure, the trauma is no longer as present in my everyday life in such an obvious and ever-present way.

But it shows up in less obvious, seemingly unrelated ways.

These are like tricky little thorns that have pierced our skin, entered our bodies, and continue to leech out their poison long after the initial prick.

But I believe that everything happens for a reason.

The poisons lay dormant in us for long periods of time.

And just when we think we’ve got all of our stuff together, the poisons come out again, ready to show us how much more we’re capable of conquering.

As unpleasant as these traumatic flashbacks may be in the moment, they give us greater depth and strength of character.

When other stressors like this come along in our lives, we can overcome them much quicker and easier because we’re now stronger than we used to be.

This is an ongoing journey.

I’ll be talking about the past, present, and future.

But I’ll be mostly focusing on the present and future, as if looking forward out of my car’s large front windshield, so I can stay focused on growing and learning in a positive direction.

While occasionally looking into the past through my small rearview mirror for perspective, to remind myself of the trials and tribulations that I have overcome.

Hop in if you want to join me on this ride.

We’ll be going down some long, bumpy, scary roads.

But we’ll learn a lot on the way.

The choice is yours.

What’ll it be?
